CapeNature-Permitted Wild Bird Rehabilitation in Cape Town

Tweet Tweet Rescue & Rehab is a dedicated wildlife rehabilitation center based in Monte Vista, Cape Town. Since 2018, we’ve rescued, rehabilitated, and released thousands of wild birds—especially garden birds and dikkops. We operate under a CapeNature permit and follow strict protocols to ensure each bird receives expert care with the goal of returning to nature.

Our Mission

We provide specialized care for injured, sick, or orphaned wild birds and educate the public on how to handle birds in distress responsibly. Conservation starts with awareness—and every rescue matters.

What We Do

  • Rescue & Rehabilitation: We care for all life stages—from hatchlings to adults—and prepare birds for safe release.

  • Education: We help the public understand what to do when finding grounded or injured birds.

  • Volunteer Training: We guide aspiring rehabilitators through the permitting and training process.
